On September 19, Rome's Nuovo Teatro Orione will inaugurate its 2024/2025 theater season, titled "Beyond – New Borders." This season promises to be the theater's richest and most diverse ever, with a wide variety of performances and cultural initiatives featuring more than 150 artists. From the grand stage to the renovated foyer, which will be transformed into a social club three days a week, the Nuovo Teatro Orione is preparing to offer its audiences a unique and innovative experience.
Launch Event
The opening event is scheduled for 18:00 on September 19 and will be open to the public. During this event, the artistic directors Carlo Oldani, Claudio Romano Politi and Gabriele Figus, together with the producers and the cast of the scheduled shows, will present the new season. The program also includes the START party, with drinks, DJ sets and good food, which will offer an opportunity for networking and fun for all participants.
Main Shows
The season opens on November 2 with the show “Arancione”, written, directed and performed by Fabrizio Colica, known for the comic duo “Le Coliche”. This is just one of the many new productions that the Nuovo Teatro Orione has in store for the public. Among the innovative formats, we highlight the live podcast #nofilter with the speaker of RDS Francesca Romana D'Andrea and various guests, and Food Ensemble, a performance that combines music and cooking on stage.
Scientific and Cultural Events
Among the new features, there will also be the Avengers, a group of influential science communicators who will guide viewers through a 100-minute journey into science, reversing Einstein's famous aphorism. In addition, in February 2025, "Compagni di scuola", based on the famous film by Carlo Verdone, will be staged.
Scene | Social Club
In addition to the shows on the main stage, the foyer, called Scena | Social Club, will host weekly events such as concerts, exhibitions, performances and acting and musical workshops. Among the most anticipated events, the live podcast “Unboxing” by Psicologacruda and Lorenzo Maragoni, which will start on October 9.

The Nuovo Teatro Orione, active since the 50s, has undergone numerous transformations over the decades. The current artistic direction aims to transform it from a traditional theater into a multifunctional space, open seven days a week, that can host a wide range of cultural and artistic events.
