The Municipality of Teggiano proudly announces the presentation of the book "Rivivere – Pillole di Storia" by Antonietta Di Candia, scheduled for Saturday, September 7th at 17:30 pm at the "Pier Giorgio Frassati" Parish Center in the hamlet of Prato Perillo.
A Journey into the Roots of Teggiano
The event offers a unique opportunity to explore and reflect on the historical roots of the community of Teggiano through the family stories of the book's protagonists: Cono Andriuolo and Rosa Gallo. These spouses, bound by a deep love, represent the traditions and values that characterized the life of the town at the end of the nineteenth century. "Reviving" is not only a genealogical story, but an open window on a living past that influences the present, recounting daily life during epochal events such as the Great War and the Spanish flu pandemic.

Antonietta Di Candia, with great care and sensitivity, retraces the events that intertwine the history of her family with that of the Teggiano community. The story is enriched by precious details and anecdotes that evoke a healthy and profound nostalgia for values handed down through the generations. As Sister Carmen Mea emphasizes in the introduction, rediscovering the origins of the town of Teggiano, one enters the heart of the roots and origins from 1800, dives into the past that allow a new perspective on the present.
