Tosca Ferrante, originally from the province of Naples, abandoned her police uniform to wear the veil and dedicate herself to religious life.
Today she is the Mother General of the Apostolic Pauline Sisters. In her career in the police force, she often had to arrest young people who had committed crimes.
Now, as a nun, she is committed to helping and supporting young people to prevent them from going down the wrong path.
Sister Tosca is in Pistoia today, where she is participating in a training day promoted by the Diocese, focused on the protection of minors.
Answering those who ask her what led her to this choice, she explains: "The transition from policewoman to nun was neither drastic nor sensational; it was simply a life path.
