Devastating tornado in Pontecagnano: beaches on their knees

Pontecagnano. A dramatic dawn struck the coastal road of PontecagnanoA violent tornado hit the coast, causing extensive damage to the beaches.

Sunbeds, umbrellas and structures were literally swept away by the fury of the wind.

Among the most affected, the lido “Ke'e Beach” shared shocking images of the devastation on social media. The video shows a desolate panorama: piled up sunbeds, torn chairs, destroyed umbrellas and the outside of the bar completely damaged.

The beach managers, shocked by the incident, launched a desperate appeal for help. “It was a terrible awakening,” they wrote on social media.

“We need all available hands to get the beach back on its feet as soon as possible. Anyone who can lend us a hand, even for just a few hours, is welcome.”

The local community has rallied around the beach club managers, offering support and solidarity. The event highlights the fragility in the face of the force of nature and the need for a rapid recovery to ensure the future of these tourist activities.
