Antonello Venditti responded to the invitation launched on social media by Beppe Stanco, artistic director of the Special Festival , the music competition for young people with disabilities who will perform alongside renowned artists. The invitation came after the controversial incident during Venditti's concert in Barletta, where a disabled fan, Cinzia, was involved in an unpleasant situation.
After a period of silence, Venditti's staff contacted Beppe Stanco, confirming that the singer-songwriter will not be able to attend the event on December 1st in La Spezia, as he is busy with rehearsals for his winter tour. However, Venditti expressed his desire to stay in touch for future collaborations, reiterating his closeness to people with disabilities.
“I received a call from Antonello Venditti's staff, and it was very calming,” explained Beppe Stanco. “They told me the accident in Barletta was an involuntary slip-up, and they emphasized how Venditti has always been close to special kids. Even though he won't be able to be there this year, he has left the door open for the future.” Meanwhile, the third edition of the Special Festival continues, with Cinzia having accepted the invitation to participate as a featured guest, turning the negative episode into an extraordinary opportunity. “I'm delighted to offer her this unique experience,” added Stanco.
