The State Police arrested a 38-year-old man, originally from Santa Maria Capua Vetere, accused of having stabbed, last July in Piazza Adriano near the Anfiteatro Campano di Santa Maria, a peer belonging to his same group of friends. The victim handed over the money, but when he refused or was late, he suffered physical violence such as punches and kicks, resulting in bruises and contusions. Furthermore, on several occasions, she was forced to give up other goods, such as bicycles, which the 38-year-old resold for a profit.
The stabbing in July marked the epilogue of these continuous intimidations, resulting from the victim's refusal to continue with the payments. The wound, caused by a pocketknife and close to the femoral artery, required medical intervention and a prognosis of several days.
