Telese Terme, threatens and attacks condominium, 24-year-old arrested

The Carabinieri of the Telese Terme station have executed a precautionary custody order under house arrest against a 24-year-old local man, seriously suspected of stalking, aggravated personal injury and violation of the preventive measure of special surveillance. The order was issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Benevento at the request of the Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation was launched following a complaint filed by a condominium resident in the same building as the suspect. The victim said he had been the victim of an attempted assault, during which he had received serious threats while he was in his home. Frightened, he had remained locked in the house until the police arrived, documenting the intimidating action through a video recorded with his smartphone.

According to the reconstruction of the facts, the 24-year-old, armed with an iron bar, offended and threatened the condominium owner, also damaging the windows of the stairwell. During this episode, he suffered minor injuries but maintained an intimidating attitude even in the presence of the police. The victim reported a series of threats and physical attacks, suffering slaps and punches, as well as several acts of vandalism against him.

Despite already being under special surveillance, the young man attacked the victim again, hitting her on the head with a bottle and causing a lacerated wound to the eye, with a prognosis of 15 days. A few days later, the same 24-year-old also attacked the victim's brother, hitting him on the head with a bottle and causing personal injuries with a prognosis of 5 days.
