San Giovanni a Teduccio. On Saturday afternoon, a 60-year-old man, already known to the police, was reported by the State Police for money laundering, receiving stolen goods and forgery. He was found aboard a car that turned out to be cloned.
The investigations began last October 15, when a citizen went to the offices of the Fuorigrotta Highway Police Subsection to report having received several fines for violations of the Highway Code that occurred in places he had never been, in addition to unpaid highway tolls.
Police investigations revealed the existence of a cloned vehicle, of the same make and model, with the same license plate but a different color. Thanks to a careful analysis of the transits recorded by the cameras citizens and with the support of the staff of the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station, the car was traced while it was passing through via delle Repubbliche Marinare with a man on board.
The officers then stopped the vehicle and, during the check, found a document holder containing a fake registration document, with the data of the real owner of the vehicle and a counterfeit insurance policy with the data of the original. In addition, the car had a falsified license plate and chassis number label, and the identification engraved on the bodywork was altered.
For these reasons, the man was reported, while the car was subjected to criminal seizure.
