Aversa. A new episode of crime, this time against a patient of the Giuseppe hospital Moscati.
While receiving treatment, the woman saw her car stolen from the parking lot in front of the health facility. A very serious fact that adds to a series of thefts that are bringing the city to its knees.
“I didn’t expect something like this, right in front of the hospital,” said the victim, still in shock. “I feel completely unsafe.” Her testimony is the mirror of a widespread discomfort among citizens, who feel less and less safe, especially in the busiest areas.
The area surrounding theMoscati hospital has become a prime target for criminals. In recent months, cases of stolen cars, stolen bags and muggings have increased. Residents report the lack of controls and are calling for immediate intervention by the police.
“It’s time to say enough,” thunders Mario Rossi, president of the neighborhood committee. “We can no longer tolerate this situation. We are asking for more patrols, surveillance cameras and a greater presence of law enforcement.”
Meanwhile, the mayor of Aversa, [Name of the mayor], expressed his closeness to the victims and assured that the municipal administration is working in close collaboration with the police to intensify controls and guarantee the safety of citizens. “We are deploying all the necessary resources to combat this phenomenon,” declared the mayor.
The population, however, does not seem convinced. “There are many promises, but few facts,” comments a citizen. “We need concrete actions, not just words.”
The Moscati hospital episode is just the latest in a long series. The city of Aversa is crying out for answers and solutions. The question everyone is asking is: how long will we have to live with fear?
