Timely intervention allowed the Benevento Fire Department to save a baby roe deer that had fallen into a deep hole along Provincial Road 107, near Casalduni. The animal, trapped in a pipe approximately four meters deep, was rescued by the "red helmets" of the Provincial Command, led by Commander Mario Bellizzi.
The alarm was raised by some passers-by who heard the animal's desperate cries. On site, the Fire fighters They worked with great determination and, despite the technical difficulties, they managed to lower themselves into the pipe to recover the puppy.
The operation, which took place in an area connecting the Tammaro and Telesina valleys, required care and precision to avoid injuring the animal. After the rescue, the baby roe deer was safely released, finally returning to its natural habitat. This event was greatly appreciated by local residents, who expressed gratitude to the firefighters for their prompt action and dedication in saving the animal.
