A 57 year old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Arpino station Casoria on charges of robbing an 83-year-old man. The arrest occurred following a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Napoli North at the request of the Aversa Prosecutor's Office.
The episode dates back to September, when the 83-year-old reported having been robbed after withdrawing his pension from the post office in via Giustino Fortunato in CasoriaAccording to the victim's story, the attacker had introduced himself as an insurance salesman, convincing the elderly man to move to a more secluded area.
There, the man then blocked him and pushed him against a wall, stealing the money he had just withdrawn. The investigations, also conducted through the analysis of video surveillance images of the area and photographic identification by the victim, allowed to collect enough evidence to charge the 57-year-old, now detained.
