At the Teatro di Corte of the Royal Palace of Naples, a special event dedicated to editorial and designer design will be held from October 11th to 13th. This exhibition, part of the sixth edition of EDIT Napoli, honors Neapolitan architect and designer Filippo Alison through the project "Editare iMaestri." Visitors will have the opportunity to admire furniture designed by Alison, renowned for its historical significance and design innovation.
A Tribute to Filippo Alison
Cassina, the renowned Italian furniture company, will be present at Palazzo Reale with a tribute to Filippo Alison. The tribute consists of the re-edition of furniture designed by the great masters of Modernism, brought together in the famous Cassina iMaestri Collection. This tribute underlines Alison's important contribution to the world of design, symbolically linking the city of Naples to a network of international excellence.
Exhibition at the Court Theatre
The Court Theatre, an architectural work by Ferdinando Fuga completed in 1768, will be the backdrop for this unique exhibition. The iconic models of the Cassina iMaestri collection, such as the Hill House 1 chair and the Willow 1 armchair, will be highlighted. These elements designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh represent milestones in the history of design and the collaboration between tradition and innovation.
Guided Tours and Access to the Exhibition
In addition to the “Editare iMaestri” exhibition, on Saturday 12 October, the public will be able to take part in guided tours of the Foriera furniture depot, where the XNUMXth-century furnishings once present in the apartments of the Royal Palace are kept. This offers a valuable opportunity to explore the transition in furniture from the XNUMXth century to the present.
Access and Tickets
Entrance to the Royal Palace will be free for those who have a three-day EDIT pass, costing 20 euros, which allows access to all the events offered by Edit Cult in the city. For guided tours, a reservation is required online or at the ticket office for groups of up to 25 people, with an additional cost of 3 euros.
