Checks in Giugliano in Campania in the Roma camp in the Asi area have led to important discoveries and interventions by the Carabinieri, supported by the forestry military, the metropolitan police of Naples and the municipal police. During the operation, approximately 150 people present in the camp at the time of the checks were identified.
Among the findings, the military identified four minors who had never been enrolled in school: the necessary checks have already been activated for these children through the school board and the municipal social services, which will take care of managing the educational and assistance situation.
During the operations, 21 cars were also seized without insurance or with fictitious registration, some of which were even cancelled from the Public Automobile Registry (PRA). This led to the reporting of the cars for further verification of any related crimes.
A worrying environmental situation emerged during the checks: piles of rubbish were found inside the camp. hazardous waste and not, including numerous carcasses of electronic equipment. Some of this waste had already been burned, causing environmental damage. The military reported the situation for the removal of the waste, with the aim of restoring safety and hygiene conditions in the area.
