Naples. A ring of Polish license plates discovered, managed by the owner of a car registration agency who was reported for fraud and receiving stolen goods. In recent days, in fact, the financial police of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples have intensified checks on how foreign license plates are used, given that this phenomenon is very widespread in the province.
In particular, the financial police of the Frattamaggiore Group, thanks to preliminary investigations, intercepted a package coming from Poland at a shipping center in Casoria.
Inside the package there were 21 Polish license plates, 14 circulation certificates and 6 sales contracts, intended for a person in Naples who runs a car registration agency.

The investigations revealed that this agency, using a Polish company now closed since 2020, brought foreign license plates to Italy. These vehicles were first cancelled from the Italian register (PRA) and then, without ever leaving Italy, were made to appear registered in Poland.
This maneuver was used to avoid paying car taxes, to obtain a discount on insurance (which is very high in Naples) and to avoid fines for violations of the highway code.
At the end of the operation, the license plates and documents were seized and the person responsible was reported for fraud and receiving stolen goods at the Court of Naples North.
