Ercolano. Discovered a day of unauthorized disposal of special waste with the consequent denunciation of the person in charge. Discovery made by the finance police of the Provincial Command of Naples who have intensified the economic control activities in the territory known as the “Golden Mile”.
In particular, the financial police of the Portici Company, during an information-investigative activity, identified a company complex of approximately 400 m² in the coastal area of Ercolano.
This facility, which is licensed to hold, recover and recycle up to 5 tonnes of textile waste, was found with over 17 tonnes of used clothing and manufacturing waste, exceeding the permitted limit by three times.
Inside the warehouse, the financial police also found the absence of a fire-fighting system, which is mandatory given the large quantity of flammable material present.
At the end of the operation, the entire company complex, the tons of special waste, as well as the equipment and machinery present, were seized.
The owner of the individual company, a 56-year-old local woman, was reported to the Judicial Authority for illegal waste management and for violations regarding mandatory certifications for fire prevention.
