Accidents at work: the prefect of Naples plans inspections in companies

The work of the table set up at the Prefecture of continues Napoli with the institutions and bodies responsible for monitoring compliance with the regulations on safety in the workplace, chaired by the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, who has called a next meeting for October 16th.

In particular, also in light of yesterday's tragedy in which a worker lost his life while working in the port of Naples, the prefect, in expressing his solidarity and closeness to the victim's family, announced that the prevention actions implemented will be intensified.

Actions that include, among other things, a targeted program of joint inspections by INPS, INAIL, the Labor Inspectorates and the local health authorities, with the application of pecuniary and administrative sanctions, up to the suspension of activity, against non-compliant companies.

Furthermore, compliance with the regulations on workplace safety has been the subject of a specific prefectural circular to raise awareness among all contracting authorities in their capacity as client bodies for public works, which reiterated, among other things, the fundamental importance of preventing accidents.
