Naples' Teatro Nuovo is preparing to host an unmissable event showcasing contemporary dance and artistic experimentation. From October 29th to November 3rd, "Körper al Nuovo" will take place, a series organized by Körper's National Dance Production Center. Under the artistic direction of Gennaro Cimmino, the event promises to explore innovative and captivating new approaches, in collaboration with the Teatro Pubblico Campano and other cultural institutions in Naples.
Program for October 29th and 31st
The program of the festival includes the acclaimed productions of the MM Contemporary Dance Company, directed by choreographer Michele Merola. The evening of October 29 will see the performances “Short Stories” by Michele Merola and “Skrik” by Adriano Bolognino, both at 21:00 pm. On October 31 at 21:00 pm, it will be the turn of “Ballade” by Mauro Bigonzetti. These performances promise to enchant the audience with choreographies that mix live music and expressive movements, pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance.
Performances on November 2nd and 3rd
The weekend will be dedicated to Körper's original creations. Gennaro Maione will present on November 2nd, at 21:00 pm, “MDMA”, a work inspired by the cinematic aesthetics of Dario Argento. On November 3rd, at 21:00 pm, it will be the turn of the diptych “Your body is a battleground” and “Gli Amanti” by Adriano Bolognino, works that investigate profound themes such as love and social determination.
Side Events and Workshops
In parallel with the shows on the stage of the Teatro Nuovo, the Spazio Körper will host, on October 27 at 18:00 pm, the evening of the Körper Young project, with the performances “SILENZI” and “AESTHETICA – exercise n° 1”. These events are part of a training course for young dancers, under the guidance of Gennaro Cimmino, Susanna Sastro and Flavio Ferruzzi. In addition, some exclusive workshops will be offered with the guest choreographers of the event, an unmissable opportunity for dance enthusiasts and professionals to meet and learn directly from the masters of the sector.
“Körper al Nuovo” promises to be an event of great cultural importance, capable of combining consolidated artistic traditions and new trends in contemporary dance. A week of intense shows and activities that will involve the public in an emotional journey between music and movement.
