Naples, The boss Nicoila Rullo, top man of the Contini clan, is on the run. And with him is a wildcat accomplice while four others have been arrested.
They are all accused of kidnapping, threats, violence and extortion. In recent weeks the gang allegedly kidnapped the son of a shipowner from Posillipo and then released him after savagely beating him and obtaining a ransom of 300 thousand euros.
Nicola Rullo, 54 years old, known as o'nfamone for his particular violence, was released only two months ago after the sensational arrest in December 2023 which took place in a luxury resort in Alicante in Spain.
He was supposed to serve a new ten-year prison sentence but in August he had his sentence reduced by eight years and was released after only eight months and a few days in prison.
The investigations of the Flying Squad and the DDA led to the issuance of six precautionary orders, held responsible for the kidnapping. The instigator would be Nicola Rullo.
According to initial reconstructions, the kidnapping would have occurred on September 28, as reported by Il Roma and Cronache di Napoli. The victim would have been taken away by force and released after a day, injured and traumatized.
The reasons for the kidnapping are not yet clear. It is assumed that the ransom was requested for an unrepaid loan or for a usury debt.
