On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the animation brand Rainbow announced a partnership with the Cybersmile Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating cyberbullying and promoting digital well-being. The initiative includes the launch of the global campaign “SPREAD MAGIC NOT HATE,” which aims to educate young adults about the importance of online kindness and positive coexistence on the web.
The ambassadors of this campaign are the famous Winx, the fairies created by Iginio Straffi, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. The Winx, who have always embodied the values of friendship, empathy and inclusion, will be the protagonists of the campaign, spreading key messages against online hatred and promoting “digital kindness”. Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Aisha and Tecna will spread messages of mutual support and respect through graphic and video content on social media, accompanied by the slogan “SPREAD MAGIC NOT HATE”.
The campaign also includes a dedicated landing page with an interactive educational module to promote kindness, friendship and empathy online. In parallel, a limited edition product collection will be launched on the portal Teemill, the proceeds of which will support the Cybersmile Foundation's projects to help victims of cyberbullying.
Iginio Straffi, CEO and founder of Rainbow, commented: “For 20 years, Winx Club has inspired fans with its values of friendship, courage and kindness. In today’s digital world, it is more important than ever to defend these values to combat cyberbullying. Our collaboration with Cybersmile will allow young people to spread positive messages and solidarity online.”
Scott Freeman, CEO of Cybersmile Foundation, added: “We believe that education and empathy are key to creating a kinder digital environment. The collaboration with Rainbow and the iconic Winx will allow us to reach millions of young adults and help them overcome the challenges of cyberbullying.”
The Cybersmile Foundation, founded in 2010, is a global leader in the fight against cyberbullying and the promotion of a safe digital environment, collaborating with brands and influencers to build a more supportive and inclusive web network. The campaign with the Winx stresses the importance of promoting positive use of the Internet, inviting everyone to “spread magic, not hate”.
