Rafael Alberti protagonist of a special event at the prestigious Instituto Cervantes in Naples. One of the most emblematic figures of 28th century European poetry will be celebrated on Monday 6 October in via Chiatamone, XNUMXG, which will become the stage for a double cultural event in honor of the poet from Cadiz.

During the meeting, the documentary "Returns of Rafael Alberti," directed by Fernando Santiago Muñoz, will be screened. Juan José Ortiz, Vice President of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, and the documentary's director will also be present, interacting with the audience after the screening. Téllez Rubio, who wrote the documentary's screenplay, will also give a lecture entitled "The Geography of Rafael Alberti and María Teresa León."

### A journey into the life and work of Rafael Alberti

The documentary, produced by the Audiovisual Production Service of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, presents previously unpublished material and testimonies that explore the life of Rafael Alberti, inextricably linked to Italy. The narrative unfolds through the poet's experience with the Generation of '27, the spread of Nazism and Fascism, and his exile between Argentina and Italy. Also important is the chapter dedicated to his return to Spain with the advent of democracy and his experience in politics. Among the testimonies documented in "Returns of Rafael Alberti," those of Luis García Montero, director of the Cervantes Institute, and of the poet's family and acquaintances, including his daughter Aitana Alberti, stand out, offering an intimate and detailed picture of the legacy left by the Spanish writer.
