The Duca di Martina Museum, located in the splendid Villa Floridiana in Naples, will host a unique event as part of the 8th edition of the Memorie Future project. The special event, titled "The Spiritual in Art," draws inspiration from the famous text by Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky and is organized by ICRA Project.
Symbiosis of Different Arts
The appointment is set for Sunday 6 October at 11.00:XNUMX in the “Sala del vestibolo” of the museum. A symposium that promises to unite dance, theater, plastic and visual arts, exploring the theme of work on matter (body, voice, metals, shapes, colors) as a spiritual process and self-knowledge, until reaching the “will of art”.
Participations and Testimonials
International dancer Liliana Cosi, an international star who has graced the prestigious stages of the Bolshoi in Moscow and La Scala in Milan, as well as artistic partner of Rudolf Nureyev, will share her journey into the art of dance and her intimate relationship with the inner and spiritual creative processes. In addition, art critic and philologist Gianni Garrera will talk about Contemporary Art tout-court, while the figure of Maestro Antonio Borrelli, a Neapolitan sculptor representative of the plastic arts of the second half of the 900th century, will be remembered on the tenth anniversary of his death. The testimonies on Maestro Borrelli will be curated by Mario Franco, Pasquale Lubrano Lavadera and the Honorable Francesco Emilio Borrelli, son of the sculptor.
A Theatrical Suite in Honor of Surrealism
On the occasion of the centenary of Surrealism (1924-2024), the event will conclude with a short excerpt from the theatrical suite “Nalpas: oratorio Artaud”, with the participation of Lina Salvatore, Maestro Lorenzo Marino on guitar, and Michele Monetta.
