Lucio Dalla becomes Symphony at the Bellini in Naples

The historic music of Lucio Dalla is transformed into a symphony at the Teatro Bellini in Naples, offering a unique tribute through the first symphonic note of the Filarmonica di Benevento. On Sunday, November 3, at 19:00 p.m., the Orchestra brings back to the stage the homage to Dalla, another of the great Italian poets, singer-songwriters and composers, in an unmissable event for fans of the genre.

Exceptional arrangements and direction

Accompanying this tribute will be the arrangements curated by Alessandro Verrillo and the vibrant voice of Leonardo De Stasio. The Orchestra, under the direction of Letizia Vennarini, is preparing to enchant the audience of the Bellini with the show 'Lucio Dalla Concerto Sinfonico'. Having successfully debuted at the Teatro Romano in Benevento, the same show promises to enchant the Neapolitan audience as well.

A visionary musical universe

Leonardo De Stasio describes Dalla as a visionary and eclectic artist: “He colors music with eccentric melodic lines, concrete sounds, unsettling stories, vocal interpretations with a jazzy feel and changes of register”. Dalla’s repertoire, considered light years ahead of the contemporary Italian scene, promises a unique experience for the public, presenting sounds that have marked generations.

With the same respect and care reserved for the symphonic concert of Fabrizio De André, the Orchestra di Benevento tackles the vast songbook of Dalla. "They are sacred monsters - says De Stasio - that absolutely involuntarily, enter the studies of anyone who wants to dedicate themselves to a career as a singer-songwriter and musician". The selection of songs, all wonderful and indispensable, constitutes a challenge for the performance.
