The famous presenter and speaker Mitch DJ, known for his appearances on Radio 105 and on television, has been chosen as the presenter of the first G7 Inclusion and Disability. This pioneering event will take place from 14 to 16 October in Umbria, where the ministers responsible for disability and inclusion of the G7 countries (Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union) will meet to discuss policies and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities.
Italian Initiative for Inclusion
As the G7 Presidency holder, Italy wants to give maximum importance to the event, aiming for a well-attended meeting rich in meaningful content. This represents an opportunity to break old practices and implement the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, promoting real social change. The Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli, leads this effort, seeking to implement a reform that gives new dignity and visibility to persons with disabilities.
The Role of Alessandra Locatelli
The G7 Inclusion and Disability was born from the initiative and commitment of Alessandra Locatelli, who worked in collaboration with international ministers to create an event with a strong political and social impact. Under her leadership, the Italian Presidency promotes a new vision, transforming disability into a central theme of public policies.
Collaboration and Significance of the Event
The program of the event, entitled “Assisi and the G7 Inclusion and Disability”, is the result of a joint effort involving numerous local associations and institutions. The municipal administration of Assisi, together with the departments of social affairs, inclusion and accessibility, school, culture and tourism, have been an integral part in ensuring that the event contributes to the growth and awareness of the community. Assisi, with its historicity and spirituality, offers a unique context that combines tradition and social innovation.
Mitch's Pride
DJ Mitch DJ, visibly excited, expressed his pride on Instagram for the appointment: "Being chosen to lead a meeting like the G7 Inclusion and Disability Summit is an honor that fills me with pride. I firmly believe in the power of inclusion and hope this occasion marks a true turning point for millions of people." His participation underscores the importance of the event and his personal commitment to inclusion. This historic meeting represents a significant step forward toward a more inclusive society, demonstrating Italy and Minister Locatelli's commitment to promoting concrete and innovative inclusion policies.
