On Monday and yesterday, the State Police intensified checks in the areas of Piazza Mercato and Via Foria. The Nibbio of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office, together with the Campania Crime Prevention Department, the Local Police and with the support of the Dog Squad, carried out careful monitoring of the main roads in the areas, aimed at combating widespread illegality.
During the Checks, 289 people were identified, including 104 with a police record, and 193 vehicles were checked, 13 of which were subjected to administrative seizure. 38 violations of the Highway Code were also contested.
Finally, an individual was fined for illicit possession of a narcotic substance for personal use, having in his possession approximately 2 grams of marijuana.
