The nets installed around the Aragonese towers of Via Marina in Naples cannot contain either the degradation or the shame.
The moat surrounding the towers, as documented by the deputy of the Green Left Alliance, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, is now an open-air landfill, where waste and food scraps are thrown, attracting a veritable army of rats.
Even the surrounding areas, such as flowerbeds and walls, have once again become receptacles for rubbish despite recent clean-up interventions.

Asia has already intervened several times to clean the ditch and will have to do so again. Unfortunately, the fence is not holding up: it looks like an El Dorado for rats. There is a serious sanitation problem here that needs to be solved.
"Nearby, there's a soup kitchen that distributes meals to the homeless and those in need, many of whom require specific care in addition to food. Often, they don't realize the damage they're causing. Social Services must intervene, and these people should be cared for in appropriate facilities, both for their own good and for the protection of this historic site and the entire city," Borrelli said.
