Naples. It was a weekend of intense police checks in the most crowded areas such as Mergellina and Garibaldi Square.

the police particularly combed the nightlife area of the “chalets” of Mergellina and Largo Sermoneta.
Agents from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid identified 424 people, 87 of whom had a criminal record, and checked 93 vehicles.
Instead, in Piazza Garibaldi, the agents of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, with the collaboration of the Italian Army soldiers, engaged in the operation called “Safe Roads”, identified a total of 295 people, of which 80 with police records, checked 58 vehicles and contested a violation of the Highway Code.
