The Metropolitan Police officers of Napoli, as part of checks on cars with foreign license plates aimed at repressing crimes related to the theft and cloning of vehicles, carried out checks in the North Naples area on Wednesday 9 October
In addition to several administrative violations, the officers also investigated a woman from Naples, IG, who was driving a Fiat 500X with German license plates, from which the identification stickers had been removed.

Further investigations revealed that the vehicle's chassis number had also been forged. Investigators easily traced the original chassis number, which later turned out to be of illicit origin. The vehicle was reported stolen from a woman in Pomigliano in early 2024.
The vehicle and license plates were seized, and the driver was reported to the Naples North prosecutor's office for receiving stolen goods.
