“Naples continues to grow, welcoming an ever-increasing number of tourists and offering them a show within the show,” declared the Tourism Councilor Teresa Armato. “The many qualified events, the result of Mayor Gaetano Manfredi's planning, are helping to transform the city into an increasingly sought-after destination, also thanks to growing sharing on social media, which increases the value of the experience and attracts new visitors.”

The streets of the historic center were literally invaded by groups of tourists, but the beating heart of Naples was the setting for numerous unmissable events. Among the flagship events, the FAI Days saw great participation, with thousands of people visiting the city's historical and cultural sites. The Hypogeum of the church of San Francesco di Paola, in Piazza del Plebiscito, was the second most visited site in Italy with 4.200 admissions.

The attractions didn't stop there: in Sant'Erasmo, the “Vesuvio Motor Show” enchanted car and motorcycle enthusiasts, while walks in the parks, promoted by the “Vespero Napoletano” program, offered a more peaceful view of the city. Contemporary art also attracted a crowd: in Piazza Municipio, the monumental work by Gaetano Pesce attracted a crowd of curious onlookers, with long lines to take a selfie in front of the work.

The Neapolitan seafront was also the scene of another important event, the Naples Marathon, which saw the participation of athletes and enthusiasts, with thousands of spectators cheering. And among the symbolic buildings of the city, the Palazzo San Giacomo, the seat of the Municipality, recorded an excellent influx of visitors.

Tourism in Naples continues to grow and diversify, transforming the city into a true cultural and entertainment attraction, capable of satisfying every type of visitor. The Neapolitan city seems increasingly ready to consolidate itself as one of the most beloved destinations in Italy, with an offer that combines art, history, sports and a vibrant social life.
