Relais Regina Giovanna – A day dedicated to rediscovering the area and its natural beauty: this was the experience enjoyed by participants in Sorrento Walks, which took them to the charming Relais Regina Giovanna for an immersion in Sorrento's history and breathtaking landscapes. Thanks to the warm welcome of Gianluca Picone, owner of the relais and CEO of Royal Group Hotels & Resorts, the event transformed into a memorable stroll through enchanting gardens and fascinating archaeological finds, all enhanced by an exceptional guide.
Promoted by the Municipality of Sorrento in collaboration with Penisolaverde and organized by Giuliana De Angelis, this initiative is just one step in the Sorrento Walks project, which aims to enhance the historical, natural, and gastronomic heritage of the Sorrento Peninsula. During the event, the President of the Sorrento City Council, Luigi Di Prisco, emphasized the importance of synergies with private entities like Picone, expressing his satisfaction with a collaboration that aims to rediscover authentic traditions and flavors: "Gianluca Picone's participation, who acted as our guide, was a perfect example of how engaging local businesses can strengthen ties with the local area, promoting sustainable and conscious tourism."
The day concluded with a tasting of local bread and olive oil, a tribute to Sorrento's culinary tradition that gave participants a taste of the authentic flavors of Campania. The next Sorrento Walks event is scheduled for November 10th, with a hike along the trail connecting Sorrento to Massa Lubrense and a visit to a farm in Priora, where you can rediscover the area's ancient agricultural roots. An invitation to all who wish to experience Sorrento with a more authentic and profound perspective, amidst nature, history, and tradition.

How wonderful to be able to discover the beauties of Sorrento in this way, it seems like a truly unique experience!
