The Naples local police seized a carpentry shop in Pianura through the IAES Environmental Department, as part of the "Land of Fires" protocol.

The factory was found responsible for the unregulated emission of solid and liquid industrial waste into the atmosphere. It also illegally profited from both electricity, by tampering with the meter, and water, by manipulating the connection to the network.
During the inspection of the warehouse, dozens of bags containing processing waste and mixed waste were discovered, along with numerous containers of solvents and paints used in the production process.

The owner was reported to the judicial authorities and the entire area, including the shed and a paint shop, was placed under criminal seizure. In addition, several administrative sanctions worth several thousand euros were imposed on the offender.
During the checks, the officers also identified an area outside the carpentry shop, belonging to the same owner, where there were buildings used for residential purposes, occupied by Romanian citizens, including some minors.
Further building checks are underway to verify the conformity of the artifacts and social assistance interventions are planned to support the resident population.
