The suspicious movements of four farmers coming from the Neapolitan area, together with the frequent passage of cars on a dirt road that leads to a peach orchard near Sessa Aurunca, attracted the attention of the patrol of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Carabinieri of the local Company.

After having overcome with difficulty the stretch of farm road that led to a warehouse well hidden by vegetation, the soldiers discovered the farmers red-handed.

Those arrested are a father, his two sons and a nephew, three of whom were already known to the police for previous convictions related to the cultivation and possession of narcotics. They were immediately stopped and arrested.

During the search, both personal and in the artisanal warehouse located on the land intended for the cultivation of peaches, the Carabinieri found and seized:

• 41 Kg of dried marijuana ready for packaging
  1 Kg of pre-packaged Indian hemp inflorescences
  Material for packaging the narcotic
  Four smartphones
  A cash sum of 550 euros
• The seized marijuana could have generated over 120.000 euros in illicit profits once placed on the market.

After the formal procedures, the arrested were transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
