The suspicious movements of four farmers from the Naples area, along with the frequent passage of cars on a dirt road leading to a peach orchard near Sessa Aurunca, attracted the attention of the Carabinieri Operations and Radiomobile Unit of the local company.
After having overcome with difficulty the stretch of farm road that led to a warehouse well hidden by vegetation, the soldiers discovered the farmers red-handed.
They were drying and packaging marijuana in a makeshift plantation. indica cannabis.
Those arrested include a father, his two sons, and a nephew, three of whom were already known to law enforcement for drug cultivation and possession. They were immediately detained and arrested.
During the search, both personal and in the artisanal warehouse located on the land intended for the cultivation of peaches, the Carabinieri found and seized:
