Caserta. In a twist worthy of the best thrillers, the Court of Cassation has revealed a million-dollar scam to the detriment of Autostrade. An employee, in cahoots with accomplices, has developed a deception so sophisticated that it seems to have come out of a movie.
The illusionist's trick: By manipulating the light barriers, the scammers created a veritable "black hole" for the vehicles. The cameras were fooled, and the cars' passage remained invisible to the control systems. It was as if the cars materialized out of thin air, leaving no trace.
With this stratagem, the tax collectors illegally pocketed the amounts of the toll, amassing a huge loot.

Such a well orchestrated scam really seems like something out of a movie, it's incredible how they could do it for so long without being discovered.
