This coming Monday, October 21st, at 5:30 pm, at the Matteo and Claudina de Stefano Foundation in Ogliastro Cilento, a special event dedicated to women's writing will be held: "Stories for Women." The focus of the event will be Brunella Caputo's new book, "The Hours of Dawn," a collection of short stories, theatrical dialogues, and poems written at dawn from 2017 to 2023, even spanning the challenging period of the pandemic.
An innovative writing experience
Brunella Caputo, author, playwright and actress originally from Salerno, has developed an original method to explore writing: waking up at dawn to capture the dreams and images that the night has inspired in her.Brunella Caputo's writing illuminates an ideal day, made of verses and stories” writes Maurizio de Giovanni. Over time, the author decided to bring together these different forms of writing in a single collection, linking everything to the symbolic awakening of the day.
An event with live readings
During the meeting, Brunella Caputo will talk with the journalist Alfonso Sarno. The event will also host the actor Davide Curzio, who will read some passages from the book, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the poetry and intensity of the stories presented. Admission to the event is free and offers a unique opportunity to discover the creative world of Brunella Caputo, who is not only a writer but also the artistic director of the theater festival “La notte dei Barbuti” at the Barbuti Salerno Festival and a collaborator of several anthologies published by Homo Scrivens.
