TORRE DEL GRECO – A 43-year-old from Torre del Greco was arrested Saturday afternoon by the State Police on charges of attempted extortion, personal injury, violence and resisting a public official. The intervention occurred following a report of a fight at a hospitality facility.
The agents of the police station Greek's tower, during a territorial control service, were alerted by the Operations Room to intervene on site. Once they arrived, they were informed by the owner of the structure that a customer, who had not paid the rent for a long time, had attacked him after trying to extort money from him.
Faced with the owner's refusal, the attacker threatened and physically hit him. The police, after taking the testimony, reached the 43-year-old's room and, despite the man's resistance, managed to block and arrest him. The criminal is now in custody awaiting the orders of the judicial authorities.
