Torre del Greco. Despite his 67 years, he still had the strength and mental willpower to commit snatch thefts. His last one was on August 24th. But this time he was caught by video surveillance footage from the area.
And so this morning, in execution of an order for the application of precautionary custody in prison, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Torre Annunziata At the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the State Police officers of the Public Safety Commissioner's Office of Torre del Greco arrested him.
The investigations began after a citizen reported that on the morning of August 24th he had been the victim of a gold chain being stolen while he was walking along the central Corso Avezzano in the company of another person.
An initial confirmation of the investigative activity was obtained following the analysis of the videos from the video surveillance cameras of the commercial activities
present in the area, which allowed the identification of the perpetrator of the theft, already known to the police.
And the agents confirmed their suspicions by carrying out a search at the man's home, where they found the clothes worn and the motorcycle used by the perpetrator of the theft at the time of the events. And for him, the handcuffs snapped on and the doors of the Poggioreale prison were opened.
