Naples, swindler 'packs' for clan: kidnapped and beaten: 4 arrests

Naples. Kidnapped for 30 hours, savagely beaten and ransom demanded for having defrauded the nephew of one of the bosses of the Mazzarella clan.

Story that begins on the afternoon of Saturday 5 October 2024 and ends after approximately 30 hours on the evening of Sunday 6 October 2024.

Specifically, on the evening of Saturday 5 October, the personnel of the Naples Flying Squad learned from some relatives of the victim, a fixer from Pozzuoli, that the latter had been kidnapped in the “Case Nuove” area, following an unsuccessful purchase and sale of cell phones with a foreign citizen.

The victim had gone with his brother-in-law to a date that turned out to be a trap, finding himself in front of four people. All particularly angry because he had sold the Moroccan Mohamed Bourial bricks instead of phones intended for the African market.

But precisely thanks to the statements of the relative of the kidnapped person and the phone calls received by the family asking for 10 thousand euros as compensation, with photos on WhatsApp of the kidnapped person with a swollen and bleeding face.

With the help of investigators from the Central Operations Service (SCO) and advanced technologies, the victim was found in a house in Case Nuove. With him, in precarious health conditions, was Mohamed Bourial, arrested red-handed.

Subsequent investigations allowed them to gather serious evidence against the other three suspects, accused of having subjected the victim to violent beatings, cigarette burns and dental fractures during the kidnapping.

At the head of the group of kidnappers was Giovanni Frullo, nephew of the boss Gennaro Mazzarella. Together with Farid Cinquegrana, believed to be linked to Alberto Mazzarella, Vincenzo Quintiliano and Mohamed Bourial, he is accused of a sensational kidnapping that took place on October 5th on Corso Arnaldi Lucci.

Giovanni Frullo, in an attempt to avoid arrest, had taken refuge in Vietri sul Mare, and is the nephew of the well-known boss Gennaro Mazzarella “'o pazzo”. Farid Cinquegrana is also known, involved in an armed clash in the Mercato neighborhood with the Minichinis.
