WOMEX 2024, Assomusica among the promoters of the Italian Pavilion

For the second consecutive year Assomusica is among the promoters of the Pavilion 'Italy at WOMEX', on the occasion of the upcoming WOMEX 2024 in Manchester, scheduled for 23-27 October. WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo) is the most important and culturally diverse international event dedicated to global music, combining a trade fair, conferences, screenings and showcases.

The Pavilion 'Italy at WOMEX', financed by ICE - Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, sees the collaboration of important partners: Emilia-Romagna Music Commission and ATER FoundationItaly Music Export, Puglia Sounds, Italian World Beat and the Italian network World Music. More than 40 the companies that will be present To represent our country's live music and cultural industries, on a journey through the diverse realities that characterize this sector.

The goal of Italian companies involved in live events is to increasingly establish themselves on the international scene and play a leading role in the programming of European festivals.

The Italian music industry continues to be one of the most dynamic sectors of the country's culture. In 2023, more than 36.000 concerts were organized, and 23,7 million people attended live music events, a 13,6% increase over the previous year (SIAE data). WOMEX 2024 therefore represents an extraordinary opportunity to enhance Italy's role in the global music market, in an international context that has seen exponential growth in demand for live performances and the expansion of the music industry in recent years. As one of the event's promoters, Assomusica reaffirms its commitment to promoting our country's musical excellence at an international level.
