Womex 2024, Parodi (Assomusica) – Great success for the 2024 edition of WOMEX – Worldwide Music Expo in Manchester, which saw the 'Italy at WOMEX' Pavilion as one of the most appreciated protagonists of the event. Assomusica actively contributed to bringing the dynamism and quality of Italian music and productions to the center of international attention.
Among the most significant moments of the event was the networking event held on Thursday 24 October, at the Italian Pavilion, which saw the participation of the Italian Consul in Manchester, Matteo Corradini, to underline the importance of Italian music as a cultural ambassador in the world, a precious opportunity to consolidate relationships and commercial exchanges with the British and international markets.
Charles Parodi, President of Assomusica, declared: “We are extremely satisfied with the results obtained at WOMEX 2024, an event that gave Italian music and Made in Italy an extraordinary visibility and allowed us to establish new and significant international contacts and relations. We thank ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies for believing in this highly successful initiative, demonstrating how the public-private relationship can contribute to the enhancement of our industry, which is increasingly appreciated and constantly evolving. It was an honor for Assomusica to contribute to bringing our artists and our companies to this prestigious global stage, confirming the value and charm of the Italian musical cultural heritage.”
The Italian participation in WOMEX was also possible thanks to the collaboration of important partners such as Emilia-Romagna Music Commission and ATER Foundation, Italia Music Export, Puglia Sounds, Italian World Beat and the Italian network World Music, and allowed 40 professionals from the Italian music sector to showcase the different facets of a constantly growing sector.
WOMEX 2024 confirmed its role as a reference for the global music sector and the 'Italy at WOMEX' Pavilion stood out as a hub of dialogue, creativity and opportunities for connections and collaborations for artists and professionals. A success that strengthens the commitment of Assomusica and other partners to promote Italian musical excellence and Made in Italy in the world.
