Camorra, alliance between baby bosses in prison: agreement between the Marsicanos and the Vigilias signed in Tolmezzo

Naples. There is a novelty in the criminal alliances between the various clans in the area of Napoli West: one of the last collaborators of justice in the area revealed it to the investigators of the Naples DDA. It is about Gaetano Vigil, nephew of the Soccavo boss, Alfredo Vigilia o' nir.

According to the repentant, who spoke about it in an interrogation on 12 October 2023, in the Tolmezzo prison an alliance was established between the young bosses Emanuele Mariscano di Pianura and Alfredo Vigilia Jr. of Soccavo to stem the rise of the Grimaldi clan.

According to the collaborator of justice, until the middle of last year the relations between the two criminal groups were anything but friendly. Indeed, the tensions were such that they led to the removal of a young drug dealer from Soccavo.Emanuel Marsicano and Alfredo Vigilia junior allied themselves. “Marsicano is the head of the clan”, the repentant underlined, describing a deep bond with the boss since his childhood. The agreement between the two clans, according to Vigilia, would have been made to face the growing influence of the Grimaldis. For this reason, the Vigilias would have asked for help from some affiliates of the Marsican, including Francesco Marfella, Christian Titas and Luca Battista.

After the blitz of July 2022, the clan allied itself with the Vigilia group, which included the aforementioned Emanuele Summa known as 'o piccone and Rosario Maglione known as “gastone”. The collaborator added that Christian Titas was the brother-in-law of Angelo Marasco, who, between 2010 and 2018/2019, was part of the Vigilia clan and also collaborated with the Calone/Esposito/Marsicano clan.

But he also spoke of Rosario Maglione, right-hand man of Summa Emanuele, who was in turn regent of the Vigilia clan, having received the nomination from Alfredo Vigilia and Alfredo Vigilia Junior, and was also involved in extortion on behalf of the clan.

However, the repentant recalled in his statements that Summa Emanuel, Rosary Sweater and other members of the Vigilia clan, active in extortion, were operational until the summer of 2022 following the bloody events that occurred in Soccavo, they avoided leaving their homes for fear of being killed.

But there are also wiretaps that provide an interpretative key to the collaboration between members of the Marsicano and Vigilia clans. And it is emblematic that we see as the protagonist Francesco Marfella which aims to "expand" into the territory of Soccavo, expressing the intention to undertake its own personal war in that area, while still wanting to continue to financially support its group and, in particular, to keep the prisoners affiliated.
