Castellammare, 19-year-old Alessia Piccirillo also dies after being involved in an accident on the Sorrento State Road

Castellammare. Sadly, there have been two victims in the accident last night along the Sorrento highway near the Bikini beach resort. Nineteen-year-old Alessia Piccirillo, who had been hospitalized at the Ospedale del Mare since November 19th, died late this morning.

The girl was riding the motorbike with the young rower Simeon Dimitrov, who died instantly.

The two boys were returning from the Sorrento peninsula to Castellammare di Stabia on Saturday night when the motorbike the young rower was riding lost traction on the asphalt, perhaps due to excessive speed, and crashed into a wall.

The two students, who were in the same class at the Sturzo Institute, were returning home after an evening on the Sorrento peninsula. Simeon Alessia died instantly after three days of agony in hospital.

The helmets of the two boys were recovered by the firefighters on the cliff below the road just before the entrance to the Bikini beach resort.
