There are also four people from Campania among those arrested by the police as part of a major operation by the DDA to disrupt arms and drug trafficking centered in Calabria.
The Police executed in the province of Crotone and in various provinces, including Caserta, Naples and Salerno, a precautionary custody order issued by the District Judge of Catanzaro, at the request of the DDA, against 44 people accused of belonging to a criminal association that allegedly managed a vast trafficking of narcotics and weapons.
For 40 of the people arrested, pre-trial detention in prison was ordered, and for the remaining four, house arrest. Five other suspects were also notified of the obligation to sign.
