Forecast confirmed: the Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a “yellow” level weather alert valid from 08:00 tomorrow, Wednesday 13, to the same time on Thursday 14 November.
The areas affected by local to scattered rainfall, including showers or thunderstorms, occasionally of moderate intensity with temporarily strong north-easterly winds with possible gusts and locally rough seas along the coasts exposed to the winds are those of the Campanian plain, Naples, Islands, Vesuvian area, Upper Volturno and Matese, Sorrento-Amalfi peninsula, Sarno mountains and Picentini mountains, Tusciano and Upper Sele, Piana Sele and Upper and Lower Cilento.
On the ground, the following could occur: Surface runoff with possible phenomena of material transport; possible flooding of underground and ground floor areas; surface flow of water on road surfaces, possible phenomena of backflow of rainwater disposal systems with overflow and involvement of depressed areas;
rising water levels of watercourses, with flooding of surrounding areas, also due to local criticalities (culverts, narrowings, etc.); possible flooding of underground and ground-floor rooms; possible rockfalls in several points of the territory and occasional landslides linked to fragile hydrogeological conditions.
“Following the yellow level weather alert notice issued by the Regional Civil Protection for adverse weather phenomena, forecast from 08:00 on Wednesday 13 November until 08.00:14 on Thursday XNUMX November, the following will be closed for the entire duration of the alert: city parks, the northern pier of Bagnoli and access to the city's public beaches will be prohibited". The Municipality of Naples communicates this in a note.
