ASL Napoli 1 Centro: SIT IN at the Frullone Presidium of the autonomous trade unions

This morning the Trade Union Organizations CUB, Potere al Lavoro and SGB held a SIT IN at the Frullone Presidium, currently the General Management of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, in self-convocation to request an urgent meeting on ancestral critical issues concerning the
quality of care and working conditions of permanent and contracted employees.

During the demonstration (at 10.41 am) a note was received on the certified email of the aforementioned unions, signed by the General Director, Ciro Green Olive, who defined the request for a meeting made in the previous days as “ULTRONEA” (excessive) because “…it contains matters which are the object of comparison and of company-wide supplementary bargaining which have always been addressed and will be further discussed in the negotiating delegation…”.

The meeting request also addressed (not superficially but democratically) issues that are not specifically discussed and negotiated within the company, such as waiting lists, staff shortages across all profiles, lack of transparency and communication (e.g., failure to publish data from the Cancer Registry, the Register of Named Causes of Death by District, etc.), and the need for the Local Health Authority (ASL) to monitor the working conditions of all workers employed by contracted companies (from outsourced logistics services to sanitation, cleaning, and everything else).

We would also like to remind the General Manager that the last meeting of the Negotiating Delegation, unilaterally called to identify the personnel to be assigned to the COT, dates back to 30 September 2024.

In fact, it is customary for the General Management to call meetings not on topics proposed by the unions (even less on those that are evidently not appreciated by the company) and of interest to the workers, but on topics of interest to the
Management itself. In fact, it can be said that Decentralized Negotiation has not yet started and has unfortunately been at a standstill for a long time.

The statement concludes: "As already announced to the police present this morning, they will renew their request for a meeting and, at the same time, continue the protest with all the tools at their disposal."
