The musical group Assurd has released a new video for their song "Tarantella oi mamma ca mo vene." Directed by Luigi Morra and Domenico Catano, the video is set in a living room that doubles as both a domestic setting and a filming location.
A visual interplay between a smoke machine and dance creates a representation of a fire, adding an element of irony with the arrival of a particular "presence."

The song is by Roberto De Simone and is part of the recent album 'o 'mbruoglio, Assurd's eighth recording project.

'History and development of the Assurd group'
Founded in 1993, Assurd is a group that draws inspiration from the musical traditions of Southern Italy, interpreting popular songs such as tammurriate, pizziche and tarantella. The band started with three women and has continued to evolve, incorporating new musical elements and contemporary performers, such as double bass player Fulvio Di Nocera. This balance between tradition and innovation is reflected in their latest album, whose launch is marked by a strong visual symbolism, represented by hands dirty with earth that recall a desire for harmony.

The video is nice but I don't really understand the message. The music is nice but maybe a little confusing. I like southern traditions but here it seems like there are too many things at once. The dirty hands are a good idea, but I don't know if it ties in well with the rest of the video.
