Around two thousand fans, gathered outside the venue before 17pm, welcomed Atalanta back to the Bortolotti Sports Centre in Zingonia, after the victorious away match in Naples. Amid chants, smoke bombs and flags, some players got off the bus at around 18:45pm on their way back from Orio al Serio airport, marching on foot through the crowd.

Among the most acclaimed, together with the coach Gian Piero Gasperini, were the author of the brace Ademola Lookman and Charles De Ketelaere.
