InpsServizi SPA, an in-house company of INPS, was recently hit by a ransomware attack which caused some servers to crash, making some management applications and the data provided to its customers temporarily inaccessible.
INPS announced this in a statement, specifying that the incident was promptly reported to the competent authorities.
An in-depth investigation is currently underway. We are reassured that the Contact Center, the main assistance service, has not been affected and remains fully operational. The ongoing interventions are aimed at promptly and safely restoring the compromised infrastructure.
