Avellino. The Christmas holidays are upon us, and the Avellino Financial Police are stepping up checks to ensure the safety of citizens. In two separate operations, the financial police busted a network of criminals, including dangerous Christmas decorations and illegal fireworks.
A Mugnano CardinalThe Green Berets seized 2.960 Christmas decorations, which lacked the required safety certifications. A veritable warehouse of potentially dangerous decorations was dismantled, a severe blow to those seeking to profit from consumer health. The business owner was reported to the Chamber of Commerce and fined a hefty fine.
Even more alarming was the discovery, in a garage in Avellino, of over 300 pieces of category F4 pyrotechnic material, highly explosive, and other homemade devices, without any labelling.
