Piazza Dante, in the center of Naples, had become a favorite playground, especially in the evenings and at night, for young people on motorbikes who used it for their "rodeos."
And last evening and into the night, the Carabinieri raided Piazza Dante, where they seized 22 scooters. The officers concentrated their checks on Piazza Dante, a popular spot for young people and where scooters and motorcycles often pass through the pedestrian area.
The total is 38 traffic violations, 23 of which for driving without a helmet, with 22 scooters seized. During the operations, carried out not only in the pedestrian square, several young people were searched. A 20-year-old stopped in via Mezzocannone was found in possession of a switchblade knife.

Four teenagers found in possession of small quantities of hashish and marijuana were reported to the Prefecture. The Carabinieri also fined, with the help of the Municipal Police officers, 4 vehicles parked in a no-parking zone between Piazza Carità and Via Tommasi.
There are 6 vehicles removed that were obstructing traffic. Two illegal parking attendants were reported, the first one caught in via Cesare Battisti and the other on corso Umberto I.
