Two people were injured in the Casoria shooting on Via Salvo D'Acquisto. They are Salvatore Barbato, 58, better known as Totor o' Cane, recently released from prison, and his bodyguard, Mauro Sorrentino, 40.
One was transported to the hospital in Frattamaggiore and the other to the one in Acerra. Both are already known to law enforcement; the two were struck by multiple bullets in various parts of the body. They are in critical condition and have a guarded prognosis. Investigations are underway to reconstruct the dynamics and causes of the ambush.
