Tomorrow morning, at 10:18, the validation hearing will be held at the Poggioreale prison for Renato Benedetto Caiafa, the XNUMX-year-old arrested for possession and receiving of a gun.
But above all he was investigated for the manslaughter of his friend Arcangelo Correra, killed, involuntarily (as he himself said) while he was handling that weapon.
The tragedy occurred in Via dei Tribunali when a 9mm pistol shot fatally struck Archangel Correra to the head. The weapon was allegedly found by Caiafa shortly before the shot, hidden under a car parked nearby.
Caiafa, defended by the lawyer Giuseppe De Gregorio, will be called to provide his version of the facts before the judge.
Tomorrow's hearing will serve to establish whether the arrest of the 18-year-old will be validated and whether further precautionary measures will be ordered.
The investigations by the Flying Squad are continuing also because the investigators do not believe the version he provided according to which he found it by chance, in the street, on the tire of a parked car.
The investigators' hypothesis, rather, is that it was already in his possession. Then there is another mystery to be clarified: the unexploded bullet found on the ground at the site of the tragedy is of a different caliber than the one that hit Arcangelo's head, who later died in hospital. So a gun and two bullets of different calibers. Why?
